“Scripture of the Day”

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted – Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

The bible has set in order the fundamental principles that governs the human existence. One of those principles is that of seasons and time. I once tried to practice time management, but while on a flight studying the best way to manage my time, I heard distinctly the voice of the Lord that declared, “You can’t manage time, you’ve got to learn to manage yourself.” So I changed my whole concept from time management to self management.

Loved ones, the time is set, the seasons are set, all we need to do is to prepare ourselves for whatever the times and the seasons will bring with it. So let’s talk, are you ready for whatever the next season will be in your life?

“Lord, teach us to discern the seasons and times we are in.”

“Scripture of the Day”

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. -Jude 1:3

The word today is “Earnestly contend for the faith.”  To contend earnestly is to be serious in intention, purpose, or effort; sincerely zealous: showing depth and sincerity of feeling.

To uphold this faith we can’t be wavering about our confidence in the object of our faith, who is Jesus Christ.  Our mandate is clear, “……Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” – Mark 16:15

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ is come to seek and to save all who are lost and to give us life and that more abundantly!

“Scripture of the Day”

And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children. And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. – Matthew 14:21-22

After the Lord performed a very notable miracle in the presence of His disciples in training, He sent them away in a ship to the other side. When they were in the midst of their journey they encountered turmultuous waves from a contrary wind.

Within hours of this great miracle they were struck with fear in the midst of this storm. On land, they had won the battle; but on sea, they lost the victory. Why would they lose faith so quickly? Loved ones, if your faith is based only on what God can do, and not on who He is, you will win battles and lose your victories. It was now time for the disciples to activate their faith and speak to their situation!

May I suggest to you, that the things you’re going through right now may only be a test. Activate your faith and speak to your situation!

“Scripture of the Day”

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. -Matthew 25:1-2

In this Christian journey we should keep our eyes focus on one thing, and only one thing, to meet our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ one day face to face. It doesn’t matter how blessed you become, or how anointed and promoted you are, if you lose your focus on Christ, you will void your journey.

The thing that bothers me is that all the virgins got the same instructions and were  given the same opportunity, but five have lost their focus and became foolish.  It is hard to remind you, that being a member of a church doesn’t guarantee you a place in heaven.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. -1 Corinthians 10:12

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13

One of our key point of defeat for a child of God is always after the battle. We win the battle and lose the victory. It is a tendency for us to drop our guards, become over-confident, which gives the enemy a chance to get in and defeat us. We forget that thats the most dangerous point that requires the most vigilance.

It was after such colossal victory at Carmel that Elijah flee for his life and requested to die!

Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time. 3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. 4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. – I Kings 19:2-4

One of the key conspiracy of the devil is to try to intimidate you at the point of your victory, so he can frustrate you and shake your faith. But remember, “Be confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

The devil may try to block you, but he can’t stop you, because divine providence cannot be overpowered by the conspiracies of evil.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. – Ephesians 6:13

The face of holiness in the church is changing and not for the better, but for the worse. Saints, we need to take unto us the whole armour of God, that we may be able to withstand in this evil day. And after you’ve done all to stand, still stand!

You’ve got to know God for yourself, because today the light of holiness has been eclipsed by the systems of this pluralistic world.

“STAND!”

“Scripture of the Day”

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. – 2 Timothy 4:2-4

“Church, the time has come  when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.”

Preachers, what do we plan to do with the TRUTH? Will we just sit back and tolerate ungodliness or will you preach against it?

My humble suggestion is this, “Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favourable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.”

Preachers, don’t compromise or water down the doctrine of Christ now. This generation needs to constantly hear the truth.
